NATO ECNSW visit by Dominic Brennan
Last week I was fortunate to present at the 5th Early Career Nuclear Strategists Workshop. As one of only two technical experts in the room, it was a welcome challenge to communicate how, why, and when we should implement technical aspects into nuclear strategy.
Certainly, given the dual-use nature of nuclear as a science, it is prudent for us on this side of the street to consider our impact—and our capability to help—on the other. It was likewise fascinating to learn of the new frontiers of nuclear strategy from the other speakers: from deterrence strategy to international relations, and everything in between. I encourage more technical researchers to apply in the future to complement our skillsets and promote collaboration.
