Understanding the long-term evolution and performance of High Heat Generating Wastes (HHGW) in disposal conditions is a key consideration in the delivery of the UK’s Geological Disposal Facility (GDF).

• This conference will bring together NDA group experts with students and academics working in this area from across the UK

• The conference will focus on the evolution of a range of Higher activity wastes relevant to the UK’s GDF programme

• NWS leads will summarise the work being undertaken in these areas, note the current challenges and summarise the knowledge gaps that need addressing

• Students and academics will be invited to provide talks and poster presentations and international attendees will provide insight on international interfaces
